Norway, a 161-meter Viking-inspired sailing superyacht concept by Kurt Strand Design, has been revealed.

Norway features 96-meter-high carbon fiber Falcon rig masts with 6000sqm of sails covered in flexible solar cell foil, inspired by the “powerful square sails” of Viking ships.

According to the studio, the push-button sail handling minimizes crew on board and allows all sails to be deployed and furled in only six minutes. The yacht is also fitted with hydrogen power cells for use in light breeze circumstances with no sun.

A “sky elevator” hidden inside the middle mast may transport passengers above the water for panoramic ocean views.
