The bulk carrier OMICRON NIKOS collided with a pier in Santos Port, Brazil, at approximately noon on June 13 while moving berths.
The ship carried 71,000 tons of sugar and reportedly suffered no significant damage. Damage assessment is still underway to determine the ship’s seaworthiness. As of this morning, June 14, the bulk vessel is still berthed. On June 10, she docked in Santos after coming from Vietnam via Singapore.
