It’s not just people that enjoy their food with a little bit of a kick—or a little sting, depending on the circumstances—other creatures do, too.

A young green sea turtle in this video, which was filmed by marine biologist Johnny Gaskell, consuming a jellyfish in the shallow seas of Hook Island, Queensland, in the world-famous Great Barrier Reef of Australia.

Even while practically all of the world’s seven species of sea turtles are omnivorous, they consume a wide variety of foods, including jellyfish and green sea turtles. Once they reach adulthood, they shift their diet to focus primarily on plant matter.

At this time in its growth, a diet that is more omnivorous is typically normal for juvenile turtles. The turtle in this video is a juvenile, and its age is likely between 2 and 5 years old.
