A terrifying new video shows the man overboard incident on the USNS Comfort, a hospital ship of the United States Navy.

Nineteen personnel fell overboard during the transfer from a small boat to the USNS Comfort (T-AH 20) off the coast of Haiti on Monday, as reported yesterday. The incident resulted in minor injuries to two people.

The engaged workers were returning to Comfort after delivering medical care at Wharf de Jeremie during a Continuing Promise 2022 mission stop.

Until now, few information concerning the incident was accessible. As seen in the video, while one of the Comfort’s utility boats was being hoisted onto the hospital ship, it unexpectedly toppled over, sending two persons 20 feet into the ocean. Check out the following videos:

The Navy’s statement yesterday said Comfort has paused ship-to-shore operations in Haiti until “a safe alternative for personnel transfer has been identified.”
