In the port of Valencia on Spain’s eastern coast, a fire has destroyed a 27-meter Sanlorenzo SX88. The fire started at Marina Sur at 1 p.m. local time and was put out after six different fire departments were called to the location. Pesa, a 2019-built model from Sanlorenzo’s popular SX crossover range, has been identified by local media as the yacht.
According to local reports, the flames were extinguished at first but then flared. There have been no reported injuries.

The boat’s remains sank after 12 hours of attempts to put out the fire. Although she was believed to be carrying 8,000 liters of fuel, emergency officials have claimed that no fuel had spilled into the water. The exact cause of the fire has yet to be identified.
