While nine cruise ships were scrapped in 2021, six cruise ships have already been beached for recycling purposes during the first four months of 2022.

Because the pandemic is still having an impact on the industry, the vessels were sent to two scrapyards, which are now dismantling them in order to repurpose and sell building materials, fixtures, and technical parts.
