CMA CGM is donating 55 tons of medical supplies to Tunisia to assist combat the Covid-19 outbreak
CMA CGM reported that their Foundation is in charge of a 55-ton emergency cargo of medical supplies.
Twenty containers of medical supplies, including around 5 million FFP2-grade facemasks and 1,800 ventilator consumables, are expected to arrive at the Port of Radès from Marseille. Onboard the CMA CGM Group’s Mont Ventoux ship, the first container landed in the Port of Radès this morning.
The CMA CGM Foundation and the CDCS are coordinating the large-scale effort (the Crisis and Support Centre of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs). It intends to satisfy the urgent requirements of Tunisian hospitals, which are dealing with a pandemic comeback.
Tunisia is a stronghold for the CMA CGM Group. The CMA CGM Group has been connecting Tunisia with the rest of the globe for over 10 years, servicing four ports, making seven weekly calls, and operating out of four offices around the nation.
