The AZZAM yacht is not only impressive on the outside, but it also boasts an equally impressive interior. The interior design is attributed to French designer Christophe Leoni, who has not had much experience in designing superyachts. He had previously worked on private residences and palaces for the owner of the yacht, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The yacht’s interior is inspired by the Empire style of the 19th century and features intricate mother-of-pearl elements and wooden furniture throughout, with valuable artworks on display. The yacht can accommodate an estimated 36 guests and more than 80 crew members, making it one of the largest in its size category.

One of the most notable features of the yacht is its custom-designed golf room, a large gym, a spa, several pools, jacuzzis, and a beauty salon onboard. The main saloon is one of the largest ever constructed on a private yacht, with a floor-to-ceiling window that provides unobstructed views of the outside, giving it an open feel. The exterior of the yacht is designed to make it appear smaller than it actually is, with a streamlined, all-white design.

The bow features a large helipad, and the aft is reserved for a spacious swimming platform. The yacht is powered by twin gas turbine engines and two additional diesel MTU engines and can carry more than 1 million liters of fuel onboard. Despite her size, she can reach impressive top speeds of 30 knots, although her average cruising speed lies at 12 knots. The yacht’s owner, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reportedly paid a total price of US $600 million for the yacht, and her annual running costs range from US $50 to 75 million.
