The 27.1-metre motor yacht Naseem caught fire and sank late on Thursday, May 12th, according to the Italian media publication Daily Nautica. The accident occurred five miles off the coast of Santa Maria di Leuca, Puglia. All onboard crew were rescued by the local Coast Guard.

Dominator Yachts delivered Naseem in 2009, with an exterior designed by Nuvolari Lenard and an interior designed by Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi.

The 95 GT flybridge yacht could carry up to nine guests and three crew members and was primarily used as a charter vessel.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, and the Salento Coast Guard has been investigating the affected area. The fire is being investigated by the Maritime Authority.
