On Sunday, a boater narrowly avoided being knocked over by a massive Hapag-Lloyd container ship near Southampton, UK.

On Sunday morning, a man out on an excursion on Southampton Water in a 16-foot rubber dinghy found himself in the path of the oncoming boxship Al Zubara. An onlooker who filmed the incident told the BBC that he tried to start his engine. The sailor, however, was unable to start the engine, so he jumped out of the boat and swam to safety as the ship neared, narrowly avoiding a collision. As the survivor swam away, the dinghy passed down the port side of the Al Zubara.
